Precision Prep AI ("Precision Prep", "we", "our") operates the Precision Prep mobile application and the website at precisionprep.ai (collectively, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we collect it, how we use it, and the third parties we share it with.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Account information: name, email address, hashed password, and optional referral source. Collected when you create an account.
- Profile information: goals, federation, division, show date, current stats, and any context you provide during onboarding. Collected through forms in the app.
- Training and nutrition data: workouts, sets, reps, weights, food logs, and macros that you log in the Service. Collected through user input.
- Health and biometric data: body weight, body composition, measurements, lab results, and any health reports you choose to upload. Collected through user input or file upload.
- Photos: physique check-in photos and any images you attach to a coaching message. Collected when you upload them.
- AI Coach conversations: messages you send to the AI Coach and the responses generated. Collected when you use the AI Coach feature.
- Payment and subscription information: subscription status, transaction identifiers, and (for web purchases) billing details. Payment card numbers are processed and stored by Stripe; we never receive or store your full card number.
- Device and diagnostic information: app version, device type, operating system version, crash reports, and error logs. Collected automatically when you use the Service.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide, operate, and personalize the AI Coach and other features of the Service.
- To generate progress assessments, prep timelines, and coaching recommendations.
- To process subscriptions and manage your account.
- To communicate with you about your account, updates, and support requests.
- To diagnose and fix bugs, monitor abuse, and improve reliability.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data to train any third-party AI model.
3. Sharing With Third-Party AI Services
Several features of the Service are powered by a large language model operated by Anthropic, PBC("Anthropic"). The AI features that send your data to Anthropic's API are:
- AI Coach (chat about your prep)
- Meal plan, single-meal, and restaurant-match generation
- Supplement protocol generation
- Training program generation
- Check-in photo analysis (conditioning, fullness, symmetry, posing scoring, and comparison narratives)
- Lab work, genetic, food sensitivity, and gut health report interpretation
- Timeline task suggestions and macro target recommendations
- AI parsing of CSVs, PDFs, and pasted text you import (training programs, meal plans, supplement protocols)
When you use any of these features, the following data is transmitted to Anthropic's API:
- The messages and prompts you submit to the AI feature.
- Profile context you have entered (goals, stats, training history, federation, division, current phase).
- Training and nutrition logs the AI feature needs to generate its output.
- Check-in photos you upload during an assessment.
- Lab markers, genetic SNPs, food sensitivity reactions, and gut health findings you upload.
- Files (CSV, PDF, text) you import for AI parsing.
- Your current prep timeline (show date, weeks out, current phase).
- Prior messages in the same AI Coach conversation, for context.
The following information is notsent to Anthropic: your email address or account identifier, your payment information, and other users' data (except where you are a coach acting on behalf of your client).
Anthropic processes this data solely to generate the response we receive. Under Anthropic's commercial terms, customer inputs are not used to train Anthropic's models. Anthropic retains inputs for a limited period for abuse monitoring and then deletes them. Anthropic's privacy practices are described at anthropic.com/legal/privacy.
We obtain your explicit consent before sending any data to Anthropic. The first time you open an AI feature, the app shows a disclosure listing the AI features and data categories above and asks you to accept. The backend rejects any AI request from a user who has not consented. You can revoke consent at any time in Settings → Privacy & AI; once revoked, all AI features are disabled until consent is granted again.
